President Donald Trump's eldest son Donald Trump Jr. continued to bash liberals' response to Iowa college student Mollie Tibbetts's alleged murder by an undocumented immigrant, but not without making an error—the spelling of her name.
"This is what happens when moronic Politically Correct culture is allowed to rule over common sense and rational thinking. Truly one of the dumbest takes on a terrible tragedy I've ever seen," Trump Jr. tweeted on Thursday afternoon, with the hashtag misspelling her name, "#mollietibbits."

Trump Jr. in his tweet quoted a post by Symone Sanders, who was national press secretary for Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, stating that Tibbetts's murderer "happens to be undocumented" and she "lost her life [because] a man couldn't take her saying no."
Twitter users were quick to notice Trump Jr. misspelled Tibbetts's name, among them British actor in The Walking Dead, Tom Payne.
"Your tweet might be stronger if you SPELT HER NAME RIGHT," Payne commented on the thread. "#DonaldGumpJr."
"If you really cared, you'd take time to make sure you spelled her name correctly," another Twitter user commented. "Quit politicizing this young woman's death. Have some class and think of her family, not of trying to score political attaboys. #likefatherlikeson."
"Donald Jr can't spell. All he had to do was copy and paste," another Twitter user wrote. "#NoOffenseButOffense."
Trump Jr. had spelled Tibbetts's name correctly in an Instagram post on Wednesday bashing Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren's comment on her death. However, he misquoted Warren, who was criticized as tone deaf for her comment, as saying Tibbetts's family "have to remember" the need to focus on "real problems" like migrant family separations. In fact, Warren said "we"—as in lawmakers—have to remember the real problems.
The first son has faced backlash for his social media posts before. Earlier this month, he posted an image of a graphic comparing his father's approval rating to Obama's, with what clearly appeared to be a Photoshop job placing 50 percent for Trump next to Obama's untouched 45 percent. In the same post, he misspelled America in the hashtag "#amreicafirst," a Trump campaign slogan. Trump Jr. took that post down.
As of Friday afternoon, his tweet with the "#mollietibbitts" hashtag was still live.
Trump Jr. shares his poor spelling habits with his father. The president frequently makes spelling errors in his tweets, and does not acknowledge his mistakes.
