No, Marla Maples never said President Donald Trump is "the best sex I've ever had." Well, at least not publicly.

Maples and Trump were infamously splashed across the front page of the New York Post in 1990. The cover said: "Marla boasts to her pals about Donald: 'Best sex I've ever had.'"

The quote attributed to Maples was thrust back into the spotlight in January after porn star Stormy Daniels, who allegedly had an affair with Trump over a decade ago, said in an interview that sex with the president was "textbook generic."

On Tuesday, Maples told the New York Post that she "never said that," referring to the "best sex" quote.

"I never said that, someone else said that. [But] is it true? I'm not going to talk about that. The truth will come out, just not here," said Maples, 54.

Maples and Trump had an affair while Trump was still married to first wife Ivana Trump. Following his divorce from Ivana in 1992, Trump and Maples got married in 1993. They divorced in 1999 after six years. They have one daughter, Tiffany Trump.

In a 1995 interview with Lifetime for the pseudo-biographical series Intimate Portrait, Maples said that she and Trump "did a lot of kissing while I was delivering" Tiffany.

Model Christie Brinkley revealed in a recent interview with Porter that Trump tried to hit on her while he was still married to first wife Ivana.

Brinkley—who was dating singer and future husband Billy Joel at the time—said she brushed him off.

"My phone rings and this guy goes, 'Hey, Christie, it's the Donald.' I say, 'Hi, Billy,' because I was dating Billy at the time,'" she said. "But the voice goes, 'No, no. It's the Donald. I hear you're leaving for Aspen tomorrow. I am too. I'd like to give you a ride on my private jet.'

"So I reply, 'Thank you, but I have already arranged my flights.' I knew he was married, and there he was asking me to go on his plane. He was kind of flirty about it. He was out chasing skirts."
