'Dragon Ball FighterZ' Android 17 DLC Leaked in Japan

The next DLC character for Dragon Ball FighterZ was revealed in the latest issue of V-Jump magazine in Japan, and it's Android 17.

According to V-Jump - via Ryokutya2089 - Android 17 can be purchased separately in late September for $4.99. The issue also revealed 17's special moves, which include:

  • "Barrier Explosion" – Surrounds his body in a barrier before charging forward. This can also be used in the air.
  • "End Game" – Goes around behind the enemy and continuously attacks.
  • Meteor Attack: "Super Electric Strike" – Swirls around energy that builds up in his hands, then fires it off. This can also be used in the air.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will receive a free update alongside the release of Android 17 in September that will include a new stage "Space Arena." Seasonal Z Capsule featuring Halloween outfits for lobby characters and stamps will be distributed in late November.

Android 17 is already in Dragon Ball FighterZ as an assist attack from Android 18, but this DLC will allow players to control 18's brother as he appears in the Dragon Ball Super anime.

Following the release of Broly and Bardock, the first two DLC characters in Dragon Ball FighterZ, the code for future fighters were found and Android 17 was a part of that leak. It's unclear if Android 17 will be released on his own or alongside Cooler in the same way Broly and Bardock, Fused Zamasu and Vegito, and Base Goku and Vegeta were released.

Cooler was officially announced with a gameplay trailer at EVO 2018 but no release date for Frieza's brother was revealed.
