After days of teasing—and trolling —Bandai Namco confirmed the next DLC character in Dragon Ball FighterZ will be Fused Zamasu.
The confirmation comes new screenshots on the Bandai Namco Facebook and Twitter accounts. Check out the screenshots for Fused Zamasu in Dragon Ball FighterZ below.
UPDATE: The first gameplay trailer for Fused Zamasu in Dragon Ball FighterZ was released.
Bandai Namco's Twitter account first teased the latest addition to the roster in a fun, trolly conversation with the game's fans. However, the April issue of Japanese gaming magazine V-Jump revealed Fused Zamasu as the next DLC character in Dragon Ball FighterZ.
Dataminers discovered the next Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC character in the game's code after the release of Bardock and Broly back in March. Fused Zamasu was a part of the datamine, confirming the legitimacy of the leak. In addition to the now-confirmed villain, Frieza's brother Cooler, Super Saiyan Blue Vegito, Android 17, base form Goku and Vegeta were also a part of the coding.
Judging from Bandai Namco's tweets teasing the next two DLC characters, it's safe to say that Cooler will be the other new fighter coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ. However, until the company gives official confirmation, the character paired with Fused Zamasu could be any one of the other four leaked fighters.
For the uninitiated, Fused Zamasu is a villain from the Goku Black arc in Dragon Ball Super. While Goku Black is a future timeline's version of Goku, whose body was switched with Zamasu, the kai of that universe. However, Fused Zamasu is the fusion of Goku Black and a future Zamasu.
Bandai Namco did not specify a release date for Fused Zamasu in Dragon Ball FighterZ, but with the official reveal out the way, a trailer with that information should be coming soon.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
