Ducati's Super Luxury Motorcycle Co-designed With Bentley

Bentley and Ducati performance have combined for an exclusive two-wheeled work of art that will be sold in limited quantities. The Ducati Diavel for Bentley Mulliner debuted at Art Basel in Miami.

The prowess of the motorcycle is based around the technical performance of both brands. Ducati has imbued the bike with elements of the Bentley Batur, combined with the traditional drive qualities and comfortability of the Diavel V4.

Batur is the most powerful Bentley ever built. The model runs on a twin-turbocharged W12 engine that delivers 730 horsepower for the driver to use to move the sculpted body down the road.

Bentley limited the run of the Batur to just 18 examples.

Ducati's design arm, Centro Stile Ducati, worked with Bentley designers to create the motorbike where carbon fiber plays a prominent role.

The new luxury motorcycle wears a Scarab Green color that pulls from the Bentley Mulliner palette.

The lines of the Diavel V4 have been revised to take on some of the characteristics of the Batur. It features freshly forged rims that recall the shapes of the car. They're painted in Dark Titanium Satin, and some of the machined surfaces are visible.

The bike's two-tone grille comes courtesy of Batur hallmarks while the triangular rear extractors refer to similar elements on the sports car and front mudguard, fairing and upper view of the tank are meant to look like Batur's hood.

Buyers can opt for a two-seat or single-seater tail configuration. The rider's seat is covered in black Alcantara and red fabric that matches the look of Batur's seats. The Bentley logo is embroidered on the rear pad.

Ducati has redesigned the dual exhaust and cover to "harmonize" with the new lines of the bike.

Ducati will sell only 500 of the motorcycles. Fifty additional examples are reserved exclusively for Bentley owners, who are able to add bespoke elements to their models.

Instead of Bentley's Mulliner arm doing the custmization,Centro Stile Ducati will be handling the details. The saddle, front brake calipers, carbon fibre parts and rims can be configured.

These models also come with a host of modern technology inclduing a dashboard that is turn-by-turn navigation capable and an LED matrix at the right light cluster that plays an animation upon key-on.

Power comes courtesy of the 1.158 cc four-cylinder power plant that delivers 168 horsepower for use.

Each bike comes with a certificate of authenticity, a passenger seat and motorcycle cover. It is delivered in a personalized wooden case.

Bentley and Ducati are part of the Volkswagen Group.

Pricing for the motorcycle has not been released.
