Elle King Reveals Unexpected Meaning Behind New Tattoo

Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors

Elle King revealed why she got a tattoo on her backside — to thank the men helping raise her son, Lucky Levi.

The singer shared a series of photos via Instagram after getting a tattoo on her butt, including a close-up of the red ink.

"I always said I'd get my baby daddys name tattooed on my butt...so I did. I got "brethren" for the men helping me raise my son. I love you guys so much, I wouldn't want to do life without yall ❤️me and Lucky love you so much🗡️🫶 shoutout to my man @jonboytattoo for being the illest 🤘," she wrote alongside the social media carousel.

King gave birth to her 2-year-old son in September 2021, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Dan Tooker, and also went to Instagram to share the news.

"Very proud to announce the birth of our son, Lucky Levi Tooker. On Wednesday, September 1st at 12:06 pm, we welcomed 8 lbs 1 oz of absolute joy and love earthside. We are all healthy and feeling so blessed! Welcome to the world Lucky!," she wrote alongside a photo of the parents holding the baby.

Tooker and King were linked in 2019 and they popped the question to each other one year later. "We rode horses up a mountain to go gold panning," Tooker shared via Instagram in October 2020. "I had a ring in my pocket and I was going to toss it in the gold pan and propose to @tattooker ... but of course, my soulmate beat me to the punch and proposed to me the exact same way. So I immediately got down on my knee too."

In the comment section, Elle wrote, "I love you, Daniel. One year down, forever to go. I said Yes by the way and so did he!"

Although there was no split announcement, she sparked breakup speculation after wearing a "Single" jacket in 2023.
