The Primetime Emmy awards may be a celebration of the best television of the year, but it's the stars' walk down the red carpet that reminds all of the captivating glamour of Hollywood
Celebrities brought their A-game to the red carpet at Sunday's Emmy Awards. The gowns were gorgeous, the tuxedos were razor sharp and the diamonds were not to be missed. Stars like Yvonne Strahovski (The Handmaid's Tale) and Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies) played up sexy with red hot deep-plunging dresses while Mandy Moore (This is Us) and Millie Bobbie Brown (Stranger Things) looked beautiful in shoulder-bearing gowns.
There were, of course, a few misses too.
Check out our list of the best and worst looks to grace the 2017 Primetime Emmy Awards red carpet below.
Best
Millie Bobby Brown: The 13-year-old, who was nominated for her first Emmy award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama, looked like a pretty princess in her white Calvin Klein.
Mandy Moore: The actress put the luxe in luxury with her Carolina Herrera Resort 2018 gown. The classic black-and-white color palette brought even more drama to the fluffy and fun tulle skirt.
Angela Sarafyan: The Westworld actress looked like a ray of sunshine walking down the red carpet in her off-the-shoulder canary yellow dress by Elizabeth Kennedy.
Yara Shahidi: The Black-ish actress looked like a golden goddess in her custom Prada gown equipped with a pop of embroidered shimmery print and a gold waist belt.
Caleb McLaughlin: The Stranger Things star has been a red carpet stunner since his first time at the Emmys in 2016, and he stole the show yet again at this year's awards by looking impeccably dapper in a floral printed silk tux jacket splashed with shades of purple.
Worst
Issa Rae: While we loved how the red dress radiated beautifully against the Insecure creator and star's cocoa complexion, the Vera Wang gown lost us with the cold shoulder, ruffle sleeves and asymmetrical neckline.
Carrie Coon: The Fargo actress wore an eye-catching Delpozo Resort 2018 gown with poppy and bright coral.
Jessica Biel: The shimmery silver metallic Ralph & Russo Fall 2017 Couture gown fell in line with many metallic looks on the red carpet at the 2017 Emmy's, but Biel's dramatic bouffant hairdo made it hard to pay attention to the glamour of the draped gown.
Ellie Kemper: The sapphire blue Jenny Packham Spring 2018 gown meshes nicely with the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt actress' red locks, but the tulle draping along with the sparkling embellishments make for one overwhelming look.
Laura Dern: The Big Little Lies actress's Proenza Schouler Spring 2018 gown didn't lack in details, but the black and white floral print cut-out dress wasn't the most flattering in photos.
