With 'A Legendary Christmas,' Nobody Gets Into The Christmas Season Like Chrissy Teigen and John Legend

When John Legend and Chrissy Teigen announced a Christmas special, you may have expected a dimly-lit concert stage, a piano and some stunning, glamorous evening event wear. But what you'll see on the Wednesday NBC special, A Legendary Christmas, is a musical spectacle and family celebration that provides some of the most famous internet and musical stars Hollywood has to offer, all in a welcome basket of holiday cheer.

The special will take viewers inside the Legend family's made-for-TV holiday gathering, boasting celebrity guests like members of the Kardashian family, Stevie Wonder, and even the Queer Eye fab five, according to Slate.

Of course, the stars of the show are the Legends. John Legend will perform multiple musical numbers—he does have a Christmas album and tour, you know—and Teigen will show off her cooking and conversational skills. Their children, Luna, and Miles, who are unapologetically adorable, are also slated to make appearances. Even the family dogs are involved.

The trailer features a '90s theme, which seems straight out of a Full House episode. It looks cheesy, loveable, fun and star-studded.

In one teaser, Wonder appears at their door. They rejoice at seeing him when they ask how he got there. He jokes he drove himself and playfully locks his car. Legend says, "It's a miracle."

Another teaser, released on the Today show, shows Kris Jenner helping Teigen prepare for the party. She changed Teigen's first name to Khrissy, just like her famous daughters, whose names all begin with K. Jenner says, "Everything is better with a K."

The jokes and appearances of some of Hollywood's elites shouldn't take away from Legend's Christmas album, which has the same name as the holiday special. The 14-track album was released in October.

In a variety of cover songs and original Christmas tunes, Legend has created a holiday classic that can only be celebrated on television with the addition of his family.
