Fallout 4 Update 1.22: New Pet Creation Coming?

Fallout 4' s latest update is a bit of a mystery for fans of the post-apocalyptic beauty from Bethesda, but there is some information players should know about version 1.22 or 1.10 (or whatever Bethesda decides to call it.) According to the official Bethesda dev notes, Fallout 4 update 1.10 for the PS4 will include the following features and fixes:

NEW FEATURES

  • Support for Pets

BUG FIXES

  • Minor bug fixes for Bethesda.net
  • Bug Fixes for Creations including:
    • Hellfire Power Armor
    • Prototype Gauss Rifle
    • Arcade Workshop Pack

The Fallout 4 subreddit has a thread where players are looking into the changes in the latest update, including the size and whether the Creation Club is being updated. Some claim that the update on Xbox One took 2.66GB of space while PS4 users have to download the 2.52GB update. What "support for pets" actually means is anyone's guess, but Steam users have combed through the new code to find evidence that new breeds of dog are coming for Creation Club.

Lines of code that read "CC_PetDogQuest" and "CC_PetDogs_RenamePerk" were found in the game files. Check out the image from the Fallout 4 Steam update below.

The last major update for Fallout 4 ( version 1.19 ) gave a ton of support for Xbox One X and was mostly implemented to enhance the textures and effects in-game. Here are the changes in that version of the Fallout 4 update:

  • A problem with damaged textures on reflections has been fixed.
  • The scripting features have been updated to support new creations.
  • The Report button has been removed from the mods. Mods can be reported directly to Bethesda.net.
  • Added support for Xbox One X
  • Enhanced features include:
    • Dynamic Resolution
    • Enhanced draw distance for trees, grass, objects and NPCs
    • Enhanced God Ray effects

We will update this story if any more information on the Fallout 4 1.22 update is released. Fallout 4 is available now for PS4, Xbox One and Steam.
