'Fallout 76' Beta: Start Time, Schedule, How to Download and Everything You Need to Know

It's almost time, folks! The Xbox One Fallout 76 B.E.T.A. is ready to begin.From how to pre-load and get your Fallout 76 beta code, to what time it starts to when you can actually play, here are all the deets wasteland dwellers need to know.

How to Get and Pre-load Fallout 76 Beta

The Fallout 76 beta is not open to everyone. Players receive a beta code if they've already pre-ordered Fallout 76 through their console of choice.

PC

If PC is your choice, you need to pre-order Fallout 76 and register with Bethesda.net. The beta will go live on the Bethesda Launcher, which you can download for free, here.

A code will be available to PC players upon purchase. Simply redeem this code on the Bethesda Launcher to gain access to the B.E.T.A. once it's available.

Xbox One

If you pre-ordered Fallout 76 digitally in the Xbox Store, you will automatically have access to the Beta once it's live. Search for "Fallout 76 beta" once its available on the Xbox One to download it. Pre-load for the Xbox One version of the Fallout 76 beta is available now.

Those who pre-ordered a physical copy from Amazon, GameStop or another retailer should receive a code on your receipt with your purchase. NOTE: this code is not your actual beta code. To receive your Fallout 76 beta code, follow these steps:

  1. Create a free Bethesda.net account. If you already have an account, proceed to step two.
  2. Log into your account and redeem the code that came with your receipt to entitle your Bethesda.net account to the Fallout 76 B.E.T.A.
  3. Your B.E.T.A. code will be made available on this account page once the B.E.T.A. is live on your respective platform
  4. Redeem your B.E.T.A. code on your console to participate

PS4

PS4 players who pre-ordered Fallout 76 digitally on the PlayStation Store will automatically be able to access the B.E.T.A. once it's live on their respective platforms. Search for "Fallout 76 beta" once it's available on your console's store to download it.

Fallout 76 beta start time

The Fallout 76 Xbox One beta will begin Tuesday, Oct. 23. PS4 and PC players will be able to access the Fallout 76 Beta a week later on Oct. 30.

7 p.m. EDT - 11 p.m. EDT
