'Fallout 76' Resource Guide: Where To Find Wood, Glowing Resin, Black Titanium and More

Fallout 76 features tons of ways to build items, craft gear and repair broken weapons. However, if you want to get your start in crafting, you're going to need to find wood, aluminum, glowing resin, black titanium and more. Depending on what you're looking for, these are either incredibly easy to stumble upon, or are a challenge to go seek out. Don't worry though, because we have some help for your search.

Fallout 76 Resource Guide: Where To Find Wood, Glowing Resin, Black Titanium and More

WOOD

Wood is incredibly easy to find in the Wastelands of West Virginia. All you have to do is find downed trees, which can be looted for wood. Don't be fooled by a tree's size, as small, twiggy trees and massive logs give out seemingly random amounts of wood. Basically, if you want more wood, keep your eyes on the ground. There's also a Luck perk card called Woodchucker that doubles the amount you harvest. Keep an eye out for it.

ALUMINUM

Aluminum isn't as easy to come across as basic steel, but can still be found by scrapping different items. A good resource for aluminum is surgical trays. Look in hospitals and military buildings to find these. The Charleston Landfill Workshop in the southwest corner of the map generates aluminum, if you're lucky enough to claim it. You can steal from the collectors too, so if you're feeling sneaky, go ruin someone's harvest. Aluminum deposits also appear on rocks and cliffsides, so look out along the ground in mountainous areas too.

Ore can be smelted down into useable matereal with acid at chemestry stations.

GLOWING RESIN

If you've ever seen a tree with a large blob of glowing orange goo at its base, that's glowing resin. Try walking around outside where there are plenty of trees. We realize this describes half the map, but at least you know not to look indoors or in city areas. You should run into some soon enough. We harvested a lot near the Cliffwatch landmark. It's southeast of the Top of the World attraction (look for the big red and glass dome in the eastern section of the map.) Many other users on the Fallout 76 subreddit also report finding glowing resin in the southeast.

BLACK TITANIUM

Black titanium can be found in a few ways. The easier way is to go into mines or other underground tunnels and look for veins of black titanium ore on the rock walls. We've found veins of black titanium in Belching Betty in the southwest corner of the map. Black titanium can also be found on the corpses of deathclaws. Good luck taking those dudes down! Your best bet if you're underleveled and facing a deathclaw is to try and get up above it. Deathclaws have no ranged attack and are fairly stupid, you can chip away at them while they scramble beneath you.
