When Do 'The Flash,' 'Arrow' Return to The CW?

Why isn't The Flash on this week? The Flash Season 4 episode 17 will not air Tuesday, March 20. The Flash comes back to The CW April 10 with the Kevin Smith-directed "Null and Annoyed." Arrow does not air this week, either. Arrow returns with Season 5 episode 16, "The Thanatos Guild" on March 29.

Black Lightning will continue airing episodes on Tuesdays, despite The Flash's three-week absence. Legends Of Tomorrow will also stay in the Monday night timeslot until season's end on April 9. After the finale, Supergirl will return to Mondays with Season 3 episode 14, "Schott Through The Heart" on April 16.

With The CW now hosting five Arrowverse superhero shows, the scheduling mess comes as no surprise. There is simply not enough time for all these shows. The CW announced in February they are considering Sunday night programing.

"Thanatos Guild" will see Katrina Law's return to Arrow as Nyssa al Ghul, daughter of League of Assassins icon Ra's Al Ghul. According to the synopsis, the League is coming after Thea Queen. Since Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) was the last Ra's, his daughter Thea is the rightful heir. Check out the episode trailer below.

The Flash returns for "Null And Annoyed" with all jokes. A new meta fills Barry with helium and the episode trailer shows him floating in the air. While we don't have a complete synopsis, Kevin Smith teased the episode on his podcast, "Fatman on Batman."

"I was working on Flash for the last month. It was fun, we had a really nice time. It's a good, funny episode. People are going to see it and be like 'You f*cking jumped the shark with this.' But it's very funny. There's some witty sh*t, and there's some visual jokes."
