Back On Fox News, Jeanine Pirro Calls for 'Traitorous, Treasonous' Trump Critics to Be Put Behind Bars

In her program's first return to Fox News after two weeks off the air, Judge Jeanine Pirro called for "traitorous, treasonous" individuals who accused President Donald Trump of colluding with Russia to be imprisoned.

"There has to be accountability! There has to be a consequence!" Pirro, a former district attorney and county judge, said Saturday evening on her show Justice with Judge Jeanine . "Because as the president himself said, this should never happen again," she continued.

"I can guarantee you it will happen again," she said, "unless we make an example of the traitorous, treasonous group that accused Donald Trump of being an agent of the Russian government. And as they spewed their hate I want to know who did the unmasking, who did the leaking and if we don't have a consequence of the highest level of government are not held responsible for this… it is a blueprint for a future effort to overthrow the government."

"The dems will continue to overreach , continue to press for impeachment, they are going to continue to remind the American people that their party has no ideas. And all this President does is deliver every time-- promises made and promises kept.”- @CLewandowski_ pic.twitter.com/asIAK6lCVE

"Don't be satisfied with the Mueller report," continued Pirro. "This is bound to happen again because these arrogant, lying, condescending, leaking haters of you and me and the America that doesn't have power are gonna do it again unless we stop them. And the only way to stop them is with justice, true justice and that is behind the bars justice."

On March 22, Special Counsel Robert Mueller submitted his final report into Russian interference in the 2016 election. A summary released two days later by Attorney General William Barr revealed that Mueller had concluded that Trump's presidential campaign did not conspire with Russia. However, Mueller also said that his report did not exonerate the president on the question of whether or not Trump had obstructed justice and interfered with the investigation. Mueller, according to Barr, left that decision up to the attorney general.

Trump and his supporters have lauded these findings, referring to the results as a total vindication for the White House and Trump campaign. The president and other Republicans have also called for an investigation into how the probe was launched, arguing it was a purely partisan attempt to remove a legitimate president.

But critics of the president and other legal experts have argued that the findings are not as clear cut as Trump and his supporters have claimed. Pirro's Fox News colleague Judge Andrew Napolitano said last week that Mueller's team "of course" found "some evidence" of conspiracy with Russia.

"When he [Barr] said in his four-page letter that the government could not establish the existence of a conspiracy–he meant it could not establish it beyond a reasonable doubt," the Fox News judicial expert, who formerly served as a judge of the New Jersey Superior Court, explained. "Did they find some evidence of conspiracy? Of course they did! If they didn't, he would have told us," Napolitano asserted.

Bring back @JudgeJeanine Pirro. The Radical Left Democrats, working closely with their beloved partner, the Fake News Media, is using every trick in the book to SILENCE a majority of our Country. They have all out campaigns against @FoxNews hosts who are doing too well. Fox .....

Pirro's show had been temporarily suspended after she drew significant backlash over an attack on Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar from Minnesota. The Fox News host suggested on her program earlier this month that Omar, who is one of just two Muslim woman serving in Congress, was un-American due to her religious beliefs.

"We strongly condemn Judge Jeanine Pirro's comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar," Fox said in a statement provided to Mediaite at the time. "They do not reflect those of the network and we have addressed the matter with her directly."

Trump and others were quick to back Pirro, however. The president posted to Twitter, saying: "Bring back @JudgeJeanine Pirro. The Radical Left Democrats, working closely with their beloved partner, the Fake News Media, is using every trick in the book to SILENCE a majority of our Country. They have all out campaigns against @FoxNews hosts who are doing too well."
