Fox News Host Lisa Kennedy Blasts Ocasio-Cortez: 'Her Brain is as Empty as Socialism Itself'

Fox News host Lisa Kennedy ripped Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) today, saying the U.S. Representative-elect's social media presence shows "how empty-headed she really is."

During a segment on Fox News' Outnumbered, Kennedy said Ocasio-Cortez's "brain is as empty as socialism itself and the ideas that she pushes" during a discussion about the Congresswoman-elect's recent Twitter beef with Donald Trump Jr.

Kennedy's comments were made after Fox News contributor Jessica Tarlov—a liberal political analyst—praised Ocasio-Cortez's tweets and livestreams.

"She's doing something very important for transparency in Congress with the live tweeting of everything that's going on," Tarlov said. "I like that she's doing the videos, really involving her constituents. She said, 'You sent me here, this is what's really going on.' I think that is valuable for a public that doesn't trust people who hold elected office."

"I like the videos because she shows how empty-headed she really is," Kennedy responded, before suggesting that the Congresswoman-elect is merely trying to emulate Trump's social media presence.

"I do agree with you that people who think they are going to punch the president in the same manner, as hard as he does—I think they create problems for themselves. And it's very inauthentic," Kennedy continued. "Trying to fight the president or members of his family the way that she does—it doesn't make a lot of sense, and she needs to revert back to what it was about her that resonated with voters, that allowed her to unseat a popular long-term incumbent in a primary.

"I think she has gotten away from that, and she's bought into her own mystique, which is certainly tarnished a bit."

In recent months, Ocasio-Cortez—a self-described Democratic Socialist—has been making waves through her social media account. On Monday, she accused John Kelly of "cowardice" on Twitter and called on Trump's chief of staff to apologize to Congresswoman Frederica Wilson for lying about her in the press.

"John Kelly was straight up exposed for lying about @RepWilson in comments aimed at discrediting her. He absolutely owes her an apology, and his refusal to do so isn't a sign of strength - it's cowardice," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.
