Fox News Guest Calls 'Bulls**t' On Network's Jan. 6 Coverage Live On Air

A video of radio host Mike Crute attacking Fox News' coverage of the January 6 committee hearing while appearing on the station has gone viral.

Wisconsin-based progressive radio host Crute said it was "bull****" that Fox News did not cover the first committee hearing last week.

His words caused host Mike Emanuel to defend Fox News' coverage and fellow guest Jeff Crouere to complain about the profanity.

A video of their argument has gone viral on Twitter and viewed over 300,000 times.

"All hell breaks loose on Fox today when progressive talk show host Mike Crute, invited for a segment on gun control, riffs about J6: 'The real 'bull**** is your network won't cover it!' They went nuts. Enjoy," commentator Ron Filipkowski wrote in a tweet.

"We should be talking about the January 6 hearings that go again live that this network failed to cover," Crute said.

"I tell you what, the real fight is for democracy, the real fight is for the soul and the real bull**** is that your network won't cover it."

Emanuel interrupted and said that Fox News had covered the hearing plenty, as well as airing it on the Fox Business network.

On Fox News, Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity's show appeared in their regular time slots during the committee hearing with no commercial breaks.

"Dude, you are going to come on here... let me set the record straight," Emanuel said.

"I want to be neutral here but when you attack our network I have a problem with that."

Crouere asked the host if he could interject also and said the hearing was distracting from the issue of the day, inflation.

"That is the kind of filth that we get from the other side. Using profane language," Crouere said.

"The Democrats want to focus on January 6... everything but the main issue and that is that we have got historic gas prices and historic inflation."

The pair continued to shout over one another, resulting in Emanuel concluding the interview.

Howard Kurtz announced on Media Buzz Sunday that Fox News will be covering the January 6 Committee hearing on Monday, despite failing to cover it last Thursday.

The hearing is expected to begin around 10 a.m. ET on Monday and will also have daytime hearings on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

Newsweek has contacted Fox News and Crute for comment. This story will be updated with any response.
