Tyrion Lannister is a man of many talents, but perhaps his most enduring trait can be summed up by one particularly iconic quote he delivered back Season 6 of Game of Thrones, when he told Missandei, "That's what I do: I drink and I know things."
It's true, Tyrion knows a lot of things, like how to fight and lead a battle, how to stay alive when so many people want him dead, how to charm a dress off a girl and, most importantly, how to drink. There aren't very many episodes in the seven seasons of GOT when viewers didn't see Tyrion taking a sip of something intoxicatingly good—or at least talking about drinking.
With Season 8 set to bring some of the most eventful battles, deaths and shocking moments yet, it seems likely Tyrion will be doing even more drinking than usual. And fans can drink with him, thanks to the abundance of GOT-inspired spirits that are available just in time for the final season premiere on Sunday.
Many seasons ago the great minds behind GOT released their own take on Tyrion's "Imp's Delight" and debuted a range of GOT wines, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and a Red Blend, which was deemed the finest in the Seven Kingdoms.
New York's Brewery Ommegang followed suit with its many ales and released a few brews that would likely be The Hound approved. There are a variety of beers to choose from, all with GOT-esque names like "Fire and Blood," "Bend the Knee" and "Hand of the Queen."
For drinkers looking to celebrate the GOT premiere with something stronger, there are dozens of options like the GOT scotch collection, comprised of nine different limited edition bottles of scotch and whisky. There's the Talisker Game of Thrones House Greyjoy Select Reserve for those who appreciate a single malt scotch whisky, as well as the Singleton of Glendullan Game of Thrones House Tully and vintage scotches like the Lagavulin Game of Thrones House Lannister 9-Year-Old Islay and Royal Lochnagar Game of Thrones House Baratheon 12 Year.
For those excited to see the Night King bring utter destruction and death to Westeros, there's a chilling scotch whisky for them too. Johnnie Walker is also offering a limited edition blend in honor of GOT dubbed Johnnie Walker White Walker, although it is more of a whisky cocktail than the typical JW Red, Black and Blue labels whisky lovers are used to.
