Gisele Bündchen Appears Tearful After Getting Pulled Over in Miami

Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors

Gisele Bündchen was visibly distressed after being pulled over by police in Surfside, Florida, on April 24. The incident, which involved an apparent minor traffic violation, saw the 43-year-old interacting with an officer by the driver's side of her black Mercedes G-Wagon, as captured in a video obtained by TMZ.

During the encounter in Miami-Dade County, the officer handed Bündchen what appeared to be a summons. Although the conversation seemed civil, the supermodel's emotional distress became evident when the camera captured a closer view of her. With her face partially hidden beneath a white baseball cap, she was seen wiping away tears, her complexion reddened by the situation.

The traffic stop seemed to have taken an emotional toll on Bündchen. The officer at the scene showed patience, allowing her time to regain her composure before he returned to his vehicle and departed.

Earlier in the day, the ex-wife of NFL superstar Tom Brady appeared in better spirits as she was photographed taking a leisurely walk with her dog in her Miami neighborhood. She also spent part of her day overseeing renovations at her $11.5 million mansion on Indian Creek, accompanied by her boyfriend, Joaquim Valente, as reported by Daily Mail.

Just a few weeks prior, Bündchen opened up about her new romantic connection in conversation with The New York Times. "This is the first time I am seeing someone that was a friend of mine first," she disclosed, choosing not to reveal the identity of her new partner at that time. "It's very different. It is very honest, and it's very transparent," she added. Prior to this relationship, Bündchen was married to renowned quarterback Tom Brady for 13 years, with their marriage concluding in 2022. They share two children together, son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11.
