'God of War' 1.11 Update: Full Patch Notes For Latest Version

God of War is living up to the hype and it's only day one. The metacritic scores are glowing ( they even brought director Cory Barlog to tears ) and fans across the world are booting up their PS4s in anticipation of a #nosleep weekend. But, as with all new releases, a day one patch awaits adding about 7GB worth of additional download to your plans. So, what's in the version 1.11 update for God of War? As the screen belows indicates, not much:

God of War Version 1.11 Patch Notes

  • Various bug fixes and improvements.

There's no official word online but, presumably, the bug fixes in question relate to the ongoing issues players are having with black bars across their display preventing a fullscreen mode. (If you're having this issue we can help you.) there's been no official word on the Santa Monica Studios twitter account, or any of the social media associated with God of War.

Version 1.11 also includes the updates in versions 1.10, 1.03, 1.02 and 1.01 for anyone installing for the first time. For reference, here's the patch notes for those updates as well.

  • Showing speaker names in front of subtitles for additional context.
  • General economy balancing and tuning.
  • Enemy difficulty tuning.
  • Various bug fixes and improvements.

God of War Version 1.02 Patch Notes

  • Various bug fixes and improvements.

God of War Version 1.01 Patch Notes

  • Added settings options to favor performance or resolution when playing on a PlayStation 4 Pro System
  • Added immersive UI Mode which shows minimal HUD.
  • Fixed a rare condition where the trophy "Primordial" would not unlock correctly.
  • Fixed some conditions where 100% completion would not be awarded.
  • Fixed some rare progression blockers.
  • General economy balancing and tuning.
  • General tuning on tutorial notifications and timing.
  • Enemy difficulty tuning.
  • Various bug fixes and improvements.

There you have it. That's everything you're going to find in God of War version 1.11. After installing the update it's recommended you restart your PS4, but if you're as hyped for God of War as you should be (read our glowing review in case you're not) waiting even a few more seconds feels like torture.
