'God of War' Download Time: When Can Players Battle with Kratos and Atreus?

One of the biggest video game releases of 2018, the new God of War follows Kratos on a brand new adventure against new gods and with new allies.

This latest installment of the franchise continues Kratos' story as he makes his way from the realm of the Greek gods to that of the Norse Pantheon. Will these new gods accept Kratos on their turf? And what's the deal with his son, Atreus? There are a lot of mysteries to unravel in God of War, but first things first: when can PlayStation 4 owners download and play the game?

WHAT TIME CAN YOU DOWNLOAD GOD OF WAR?

God of War releases on PlayStation 4 Friday, April 20. According to the official PlayStation Store, the game can be downloaded starting at 12 a.m. EDT. This means those on the West Coast will be able to download and play God of War at 9 p.m. PDT on April 19.

If you're looking to pre-load God of War before the April 20 release date to avoid waiting, the PlayStation store will allow you to do so starting April 18. The game will take 44.46GB of memory on your PS4, so be sure to have space ready.
