Watch Guy Fieri Dive Into Shark Week With New Show 'Feeding Frenzy' in Bahamas

Food Network star Guy Fieri is bringing Flavortown to Shark Week. The Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives star is set to host his own special, Guy Fieri's Feeding Frenzy, during Discovery Channel's annual fish fest on Tuesday.

Fieri and his son Hunter will travel to the Bahamas for the hour-long show to investigate the feeding habits of sharks populating the waters near the Caribbean island. Fieri shared a few behind-the-scenes photos of the show on Twitter on Sunday. "I'm hungry for a different kind of dive this #SharkWeek! Find out what's for dinner on Guy Fieri's Feeding Frenzy," he wrote.

Fieri first teased the special on his Instagram in June and posted a video just before he and Hunter took their first deep dive in the ocean. "So Hunter and I are out here in the middle of the Bahamas. Just got certified to dive. Now we're goin' to dive with some sharks… No cage," the 50-year-old announced.

Fieri's free dive was guided by marine scientist Mark Bond, who also educated Fieri and his son on the many different species of sharks living in the Atlantic Ocean near the Bahamas, like bull sharks, Caribbean reefs, hammerheads, lemon sharks, tiger sharks and oceanic whitetips. Bond also informed Fieri on the varying appetites of the sharks and their different styles of hunting and eating.

Bond, a Florida International University alum, said Fieri was a "big personality and a lot of fun."

"He picked up diving very quickly," Bond told the college website on Monday, adding, "I hope viewers walk away understanding sustainable seafood is a critical issue."

Of course, Fieri won't just be diving with the sharks and learning about their eating habits. He'll likely chow down on a few sharks too when he voyages inland to check out the local cuisine, including a few restaurants that have a variety of shark species on the menu.

Following Guy Fieri's Feeding Frenzy at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Discovery Channel will air Laws of Jaws at 9 p.m. ET and Air Jaws: The Hunted at 10 p.m. Shark Week coverage will conclude with the late-night show, Shark After Dark Live, at 11 p.m. ET.
