'Hearthstone' Monster Hunt Guide: How to Slay Hagatha

Hearthstone's newest game mode Monster Hunt is finally live, which means it's time to head into the darkness of The Witchwood. Like Dungeon Run in Kobolds and Catacombs , this mode is completely free-to-play without any microtransactions. If you've been trying to get a friend into Hearthstone who doesn't have the money to buy hundreds of packs and wants a single-player experience, this is perfect for them.

In Dungeon Run, you face off against nine randomly generated encounter monsters and one hero-specific Nemesis. There are 45 unique encounters to test your mettle, ranging from giants like Grubb The Swamp Drinker, who throws his minions, or Griselda, a frog with magical powers. After each encounter, you'll have the chance to choose one of three sets of cards, each with three cards inside. After certain hard-fought battles, you'll earn special passive powers, like drawing an extra card on your first turn or buffing your minions.

There are four different Heros with their own unique abilities, cards to pick up and Nemeses:

Houndmaster Shaw- Dog Whistle (2 mana): Summon a 1/1 Bloodhound with Rush

Glinda Crowskin: The lead lieutenant in Hagatha's cult, whose Hero Power makes her immune as long as she has a minion on the board.

Tracker
Tess Greymane Blizzard

Tess Greymane- Scavenge (2 mana): Discover a Class spell that was played this game.

Captain Shivers: a dangerous pirate who haunts Gilneas' shores, his Hero Power draws a weapon from his deck.

Cannoneer
Darius Crowley Blizzard

Darius Crowley- Fire (2 mana): Fire your cannons, if they kill a minion refresh your Hero Power.

Lord Godfrey: the lord of Shadowfang Keep, his Hero Power deals two damage to a minion and the ones next to it.

Time_Tinkerer
Toki, Time Tinker Blizzard

Toki, Time Tinker- Temporal Loop (0 mana) Start your turn over.

Infinite Toki- Toki from the far future, uses Chronoacceleration, which gives a minion Mega- Windfury before collapsing and dying at the end of the turn.

If you complete Monster Hunt with all four classes, you'll have to face Hagatha yhe Witch. The final boss starts off with 100 health and everytime she plays a minion, a random Spell card is added to her hand.

It's going to take all four heroes to defeat her. You start off with Houndmaster Shaw with a unique boss fight Passive and three Hero cards in your hand. When played, these Heroes join the fight and will bring their own Passive abilities with them. Defeat the final battle and you'll earn a unique Monster Hunt card back.
