Stars for MTV's The Hills, which aired from 2006 to 2010, announced a reboot at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on Monday. The reboot will be called The Hills: New Beginnings. A premiere date has yet to be announced.
MTV teased the show's concept in a statement, which noted the family aspect that will find the prior cast members.
"Based off the docuseries that changed the landscape of TV history, The Hills: New Beginnings will reunite original cast members, alongside their children and friends, and follow their personal and professional lives while living in Los Angeles," MTV said. "With new faces in the picture and returning favorites, The Hills is back for a new beginning."
While many cast members will return, Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari likely will not be seen on the show. It is assumed Whitney Port will also skip the reunion as she did not appear at the VMAs with the announcing cast.
Here are the cast members you can expect to see in the upcoming revival.
Spencer and Heidi Pratt
Arguably the most infamous couple from the 2000s reality show, Spencer and Heidi burned many of their bridges and isolated themselves from the cast. In recent years, they've walked back into the spotlight with the birth of son Gunner and Heidi's path of self-acceptance after she revealed she'd regretted her intense plastic surgeries. Heidi mentioned she'd "died for a minute" after a 24-hour surgery, in a conversation with People in April.
Stephanie Pratt
Stephanie is a shoe in for the reboot. Not only has she announced her return, but she even sang a cover of Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten" for the reboot's trailer. Since appearing on the reality show, Pratt has gone on to appear on others. She was featured on Celebrity Big Brother in 2014 and starred on Esquire's Made In Chelsea. Pratt released a book, "Made In Reality," in 2015 about her time as a reality TV staple.
Audrina Patridge
Patridge currently acts as Creative Director of swimwear line Prey Swim. Since appearing on The Hills, she was married to Corey Bohan but ended the marriage after she alleged there was domestic violence. The pair has a daughter together, Kirra. Though Patridge has been romantically linked to Ryan Cabrera in June, fans are already commenting on their excitement she may once again interact with old flame Justin Bobby.
Justin Bobby
Justin Bobby, full name Justin Brescia, is a musician and hairdresser. Since appearing on The Hills, he released a haircare line titled BRUSH. Brescia will appear on the show alongside ex-girlfriend Patridge. He said the pair spoke after her divorce, People reported in September 2017.
"I'm literally chatting with Audrina right now. We're talking because I made a comment about her, you know, what was happening with her divorce," he said. "She had reached out to me and kind of thanked me for just being nice and a friend about the whole thing."
Jason Wahler
Since his appearance on The Hills as then-boyfriend of Conrad, Wahler has appeared on Celebrity Rehab and found sobriety. He now dedicates his life to promoting healthy living. Wahler is married to wife Ashley Slack Wahler. The couple has a daughter, Delilah.
