Woman Builds Dream Disney-Inspired Feature in Home; Internet in Awe

A video of a woman creating a home library inspired by a Disney film has gone viral on TikTok.

The clip was shared by @rachelleswannie and has had 1.6 million views since it was first posted on February 18.

A message overlaid on the clip reads: "POV [point of view]: You decide to change an empty wall into the library of your dreams." An instrumental version of the song "Beauty and the Beast" from the Disney film of the same name is heard playing in the background of the clip.

The video shows a wooden dining table overlooked by a chandelier against the backdrop of a blank gray wall. The clip later shows an olive green-colored shelf with a sliding ladder against it, presumably aiming to lend the feel of the library gifted to the Belle character in the film.

A woman is then seen climbing onto the ladder and sliding it across the shelf before the video ends.

A caption shared with the post reads: "my dream home library wall is complete!!! now I just need to decorate it & finish our dining room table for everything to feel complete!"

Nearly three in five homeowners remodeled or decorated their home in 2022, while nearly half made repairs, according to a survey of 46,118 U.S. homeowners age 18 and older conducted by Houzz, a home design website.

The survey found that the median cost of home renovations in 2022 was reported to be $22,000, while the median for higher-budget updates reached $140,000 or more.

Interior spaces were found to be the most popular areas to renovate in the same year, with homeowners tackling an average of nearly three interior projects at a time.

More than half of homeowners (55 percent) said they were planning home projects in 2023, with an anticipated median cost of $15,000, or $85,000 for higher-budget projects, according to the survey.
