How Labrador Hilariously Defies Owner Caught on Camera: 'Not Allowed'

A social media video that shares how a dog owner unsuccessfully tried to prevent their Labrador from jumping up onto the couch and chairs has left the internet in hysterics.

The viral video, which has been viewed more than 92,000 times since it was first shared online on October 11, captured how the mischievous dog's owner had assembled plenty of bits and bobs on top of their furniture to take away any space where the Labrador could sit.

Viewers were shown that despite the owner's efforts, the clever dog still found a way to get on the couch, and was shown sitting in the corner seat confined to a small area because of the footrest that had been placed there previously. To add more humor, the cheerful Labrador could be seen wagging his tail enthusiastically.

The dog's owner shared in the post that they'd attempted to block the Labrador from jumping on the furniture because of a recent injury that they'd suffered.

Although things didn't go as planned, the dog's owner chose to see the funny side, writing under the post that "Labradors are truly sent from the Gods and are always keeping you smiling."

It comes as no surprise that the cheeky Labrador had been so determined to make it back onto the couch and exercise his jumping skills. The American Kennel Club (AKC) describes the breed as outgoing, with a "high-spirited" temperament.

"The Lab is an enthusiastic athlete that requires lots of exercise, like swimming and marathon games of fetch, to keep physically and mentally fit," the pet registry says on its website.
