The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is one of the most hotly-anticipated fantasy shows of the year, and some fans will be lucky enough to see it earlier than its scheduled premiere date.

Prime Video has announced its plans to give the show's first two episodes a theatrical release for one day only, where fans can watch the episodes before it comes out on the streaming platform on Friday, September 2.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will have a special fan screening for its first two episodes on Wednesday, August 31, two days ahead of the show's official release.

Set in the Second Age of Middle Earth, thousands of years before the events of the iconic The Lord of the Rings, the show will follow a slew of characters both familiar and new who must face a re-emerging evil in the realm that threatens to destroy them all.

The show features the likes of Morfydd Clark, Robert Aramayo, Maxim Baldry, Markella Kavenagh, Owain Arthur, Lenny Henry, and Ismael Cruz Cordova amongst its cast.

Cinemark will be hosting the special, one-off event and tickets will become available at 9 a.m. PT on Monday, August 22 on their dedicated page for the event.

The screening will be free to attend and it will take place in participating theaters from 7 p.m. local time, with it being screened in theaters across 33 states.

But, in order to reserve a ticket and a $10 voucher for snacks at the event, fans must be a Cinemark Movie Rewards Member, and once signed in a member can reserve a complimentary ticket.

Fans can only purchase two tickets per person, and tickets will only be available to buy on Cinemark's website.

Where Will 'The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power' Be Screened Early?

Cinemark will be holding the special screening in theaters across the country, with participating theaters including those in California, New Mexico, and Texas.

Details for every screening are available on Cinemark's website, and fans can sign up to see if there is a theater near them participating in the event.

Prime Video is also expected to host fan screenings in Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Argentina, Colombia, Australia and New Zealand, with Variety reporting that the event will be held in over 200 locations worldwide.

Newsweek has contacted the show's representatives at Prime Video for further comment.
