Hurricane Florence Power Outage Maps, Totals: Where Hundreds of Thousands of Customers Are Without Power

Hurricane Florence made landfall near Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, early on Friday morning. The Category 1 storm, which caused life-threatening storm surge and flooding, has affected millions along the Southeast coast.

Massive power outages are expected in North Carolina, South Carolina and parts of Virginia. Here are the latest maps and totals showing where residents are experiencing power outages.

Current Outages—North Carolina

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety reported a total of 643,995 power outages as of 3:06 p.m.

Thousands of Duke Energy customers in North Carolina's coastline are experiencing power outages. In a message to customers, the company warned, "High winds and severe flooding from Hurricane Florence will impede the pace of our outage restoration efforts. Work will begin when conditions safely allow."
