HyperX Cloud Earbuds Sound Amazing (and Actually Stay in My Ears)

Earbuds have always been a pain for me. Most earbuds are the round little pods you nestle in your ears, but my ears must be shaped weird. No traditional earbud stays in place very long, and if I'm out moving? Forget about it. That has all changed, thanks to the HyperX Cloud Earbuds.

These bad boys actually stay in place, even if I tilt my head and jump up and down. They use a smart system of soft rubber pieces to wedge themselves into your ear. While that doesn't sound very comfortable, the Cloud earbuds aren't very intrusive at all. Of course, if they feel too big or small for your ears, different-sized pieces can be swapped in for a better fit.

The Cloud earbuds are designed with mobile gamers in mind, which means if you play regularly on a phone, tablet or a Nintendo Switch, these are a great solution. The in-line microphone is crystal clear, even when walking outside. In a game setting, like using the new Nintendo Switch Online service, the Cloud earbuds are no-brainer for the level of quality compared to ease of transportation.

The first time I used the Cloud earbuds, I was shocked with how nice songs sounded. Highs and mids come through with impressive brightness. The Cloud earbuds are free from that cheap, tinny sound found in many other earbuds.

The one downside is there is definitely is a lack of strong bass, but you'll be hard-pressed to find any earbuds that can tick that box. Unfortunately for gamers, this means you aren't going to be able to fully appreciate any big explosions or deep rumblings. You'll still hear these things, of course, but other headphones might make them sound better.
