Three weeks after Jazz's surgery, she is finally back home in Florida; however, despite the emotional rollercoaster over the summer, the ride doesn't look to have an end in sight.
Spoilers for Tuesday's episode of 'I Am Jazz' ahead:
The 18-year-old looks to be healing well following the unexpected second surgery from last week's episode, but things take another unexpected turn after a FaceTime date with Dr. Marci Bowers. Despite being able to move around better, Jazz's surgeon doesn't see the progress she was hoping for. During the call, Dr. Bowers suggests another surgery or two where another skin grant will be taken–this time from her thigh.
Luckily, the surgeries will not be for mechanical purposes but more along the cosmetic side.
"After all of that, how beautiful my vagina ended up looking," Jazz asks.
"It's a series of compromises from here, but I have assurances that we can make it look much, much better," Dr. Bowers responds. "But scar-free? No."

"I'm trying to say positive, but this news is really devastating," Jazz said to the camera.
On a more positive note, things look to be progressing in Jazz's romantic life. The teen makes the sudden announcement that she met a "nice boy" while in Philadelphia Transgender Health Conference. His name is Ahmir and it looks like he has Jazz completely smitten.
"I was lucky when I walked into the room," Ahmir said during a FaceTime call with Jazz, reminiscing when the two first met. "I melted, right then and there."
Since meeting at the conference, the two were continuing a long distance relationship through texts and video chats. Now, Jazz is hoping for Ahmir to visit Florida and meet her parents.
"I'm excited. I want to make [Ahmir coming to Florida] happen," Jazz said to the camera. "However, I am worried that my parents may not want him to come down because we just formed this relationship, and they don't really know him, and it's kinda weird. I don't know, I just hope my parents don't say 'no.'"
To Jazz's surprise, however, her parents are willing to have Ahmir come down to Florida but not without hesitation.
"The upside to Ahmir coming to Florida is that I get to meet the young man," Jazz father Greg said to the camera. "I'm curious to know what it is that she finds so appealing and so interesting."
Following Jazz's big announcement, her and mother Jeanette make a visit to Jazz's grandparents' house. The Jennings family was able to breathe a least one sigh of relief after Jazz's grandfather survived a near-death emergency procedure.
"It's important to take care of atrial flutter," Jazz's grandfather states. "What they do is they put a catheter in your heart, and in the process of putting the catheter in, they penetrated my heart."
Jazz's grandfather's heart began to have to bleed around his heart and was rushed into emergency cardiac surgery.
"How close to death were you," Jazz questioned.
"Uh, pretty close," her grandfather revealed.
Following the update on Jazz's grandfather, Jeanette and Greg take a moment away from their children and have a date night. Visiting a local mini golf location, Jeanette also takes the opportunity to be candid with Greg and reveal she cannot go through another round of surgeries with Jazz without him by her side.
"I just came through the most traumatic summer ever," Jeanette revealed. "I don't want to do this again without you, again. Any time I left her, I felt guilty because I knew that the nurses weren't doing the wound care, the bandage changing, and all that? That was on me."
"It really tested me as a human being, and as a mom, and I just felt so helpless at times."
"If Jazz needs another surgery, I promise I will be there," Greg responded. "You really were an amazing mom. You stood by Jazz, you took care of her."
At the conclusion of the episode, Ahmir has arrived in Florida; however, viewers will have to wait under next week to see the reaction of Jazz's parents and friends.
