Hilarious Moment Impatient Dog Pushes Golden Retriever Puppy Into Pool

Older siblings usually have to be patient with their younger brothers and sisters, but sometimes that patience wears thin, which is why this rottweiler getting fed up with waiting for his puppy brother has left the internet in hysterics.

In a viral video, posted by TikTok user @george_the_rottweiler, the titular George was so excited to go for a swim in the pool, but the one problem was that his golden retriever brother Charlie was standing in the way.

Charlie, who is only a young pup, looked very nervous about the water and nervously perched on the step until he was ready. While George was happy to wait initially, he got bored of hanging about and decided it was now or never—so he pushed Charlie into the water.

Since the hilarious clip was posted in August, it has delighted many social media users, and has already been viewed over 2 million times and received more than 251,000 likes on TikTok.

There are a variety of reasons why dogs get nervous about going for a splash in the water, or why they might loathe the idea of having a bath. One of the primary reasons for this is that it's simply a new experience for them and the water feels different underneath their paws or unusual on their fur coat.

Alternatively, it is also possible that the dog has suffered a traumatic experience with water in the past and was forced into it when they weren't ready. For owners who want to help their dog overcome a fear of water, Hill's Pet Nutrition suggests unlearning negative connotations and allowing your pet to feel more comfortable with the water.

The key is to start small by showing them the water without going in, and gradually take steps towards a shallow area. Over time, the dog might feel ready to start going in a bit further and testing out the deeper water, but it's important that they take it at their own pace.

Charlie certainly didn't look too pleased about being pushed into the pool by his brother George, but thankfully their owner was there to help him out of the sticky situation.

With over 4,400 comments on the video so far, many TikTok users have lauded the rottweiler's cheeky antics, with some insisting that he's only trying to help his brother learn by throwing him in at the deep end.

One comment on the post read: "proof our pets understand exactly what we are saying."

Another person responded: "George said sink or swim dude. I'm not waiting any longer."

While another TikTok user commented: "Charlie wore George's patience too thin!"
