Tianjin Quanjian of the Chinese Super League has had a bid rejected for Leicester City striker Islam Slimani, according to a report.
Slimani, 28, only signed for Leicester from Sporting Lisbon in the summer for a club-record fee of £29.7 million ($37.4 million) but the club has already had to block the latest in a series of aggressive approaches by China towards Europe's major leagues.
Tianjin Quanjian's owner Shu Yuhui revealed earlier in January that he had made an approach for Chelsea striker and Premier League joint leading scorer Diego Costa.
Costa, 28, has since been reintegrated into Chelsea's team after he was dropped from manager Antonio Conte's squad for the 3-0 victory over Leicester City on January 14 following a reported row with the club's fitness coaches.
Leicester, the English Premier League champion from last season, has struggled to follow up its surprise triumph. Currently, Claudio Ranieri's club lies 15th in the table with 22 games played, just five points off the relegation zone.
