$245 Million Powerball Winning Ticket Sold in Staten, Island New York (8/11/2018 Drawing)

A lucky winner hit the jackpot Saturday night's Powerball drawing, officials said.

The winning ticket for a $245.6 jackpot was sold in New York in Richmond County. The winning ticket numbers are: 05-43-56-62-68, Powerball: 24, PowerPlay: 2x.

The owner of the winning ticket hasn't been identified as of early Sunday morning, according to nj.com.

One second prize winning ticket was sold in Georgia, the lottery reported.

The New York winning ticket was sold at Stop & Shop #0581 in Staten Island (Quick Pick).

The Powerball lottery is a multi-state game played across 44 states. The drawing is held each Wednesday and Saturday nights at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. The last major Powerball winning ticket was sold on June 21 in Oregon.
