What Did Jake Paul Say to Tommy Fury During Fight? Timeline of Their Feud

Jake Paul and Tommy Fury clashed once again at a boxing event, but the two are still not showing any signs of getting into the ring together.

Social media personality Jake Paul, 25, managed to bad mouth 23-year-old former Love Island UK star Tommy Fury enough to have him hanging over the ropes in anger at him, before provoking the same reaction from his father, John.

Tommy Fury was fighting Rolly Lambert in an exhibition bout on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather's match-up with YouTuber Deji in Dubai.

After Fury's lackluster display was booed by some members of the crowd, Paul decided that he would troll him from the front seats, shouting a number of obscenities and insults at the reality star, who is undefeated in professional fights.

Paul and Fury have been scheduled to fight on a number of occasions, but circumstances have meant it has been canceled each time, leading to their feud growing as they trade insults on social media.

It kicked off at the Coca-Cola Arena after Paul was heard during his commentary screaming at Fury, "you're f****** s***" and "you've got no d***".

As Fury boxed, he also took time to shout back that Paul was a "b****" during the third round of the six-round bout.

After the fight, the action outside the ring then flared up with Fury's dad, John, deciding that he was going to scrap with Paul, climbing into the ring and ripping off his shirt before throwing down a challenge.

He shouted at Paul: "Forget my son, I'm the king of the bare-knuckle man."

Paul responded: "You're a miserable old man. Come fight me right now then."

Tommy was then ready to pitch in and declared: "There's a certain b***h from ringside that I want in the ring now.

"Tell him to get in here because he would never have the b**** to get in here and fight a man of this calibre on a few hours notice."

Tommy Fury then defended his performance against Lambert, saying: "I had to come in and fight this man. 15-1, he's got WBC and WBA titles, he's knocked out 12. I had the b******* to get in this ring and fight him on a few hours' notice."

With tempers flaring, Tommy then attempted to climb through the ropes to confront Paul in the crowd before security stepped in to prevent him from going any further than the ring.

Why Do Jake Paul And Tommy Fury Hate Each Other?

It would seem that their feud began after Jake disputed the viewing figures that world champion Tyson Fury posted about Tommy's win against Scott Williams last year.

Tyson had posted a screenshot that boasted Tommy's 'viewing figures' were 1.9 million people when others on the same card were barely getting 100,000 viewers.

Paul was quick to call out the figures and proved that it was fake, and he was dared to fight Tommy by Tyson.

In May 2021, Paul then taunted Tommy by claiming that his fiancee, fellow Love Island UK star Molly-Mae Hague, sent him a Direct Message on Instagram.

Paul said that Hague had messaged: "Might be coming to America later this year and have always been a fan of your videos.

"Maybe you can show me around?!"

He added that there was a white heart emoji along with a face licking its lips emoji.

Hague quickly claimed that it was faked and wrote on Twitter: "Times must be hard when you're having to fake a DM... photoshop is scary."

Paul and Tommy finally came face-to-face backstage at the YouTube star's bout against Tyron Woodley. He won the fight while Tommy won his bout against Anthony Taylor on the same card before they almost came to blows away from the ring.

Tommy told talkSPORT radio that he didn't think much of Jake's abilities in the ring.

He said: "They ain't fighters. I mean I haven't watched it back but I was ready to throw hands there and then.

"This man is all in front of the cameras but he doesn't understand that me and my team will go––now.

"We don't care about how many of you there are, we'll get stuck in. So he can count his blessings in the hallway really.

"Forty of his security team broke it up because the man can't fight, the man can't fight at all. Imagine him in a street fight? Please, he wouldn't last three seconds.

"If he didn't have his security team there with him, he wouldn't have even...he would have walked straight past me.

"Jake Paul hasn't got nothing inside him and I see that in that corridor right then.

"There was a moment in that corridor right then when everything was going off between his security, my team and his team and it was just me and him, and I looked dead into his soul. And when them cameras are not around, he doesn't want to know.

"Let's be honest, if he really wanted to fight me, I'd have been in that ring at the end of the fight, through the ropes, let's go. There's no return."

Tommy added: "But he didn't want that. And the reason he didn't want that is because if I was getting in there, he wouldn't be able to go back on it. That's why I wasn't in the ring tonight."

Meanwhile, Paul had a different view and told the radio station: "I got into his face and I let him talk.

"I don't have anything to say to him. At the end of the day I hired him to be here and I don't really have any bad blood. I just said 'yo, tell your girl to get out of my DMs.'"

The pair were due to fight last December but Tommy withdrew, citing injury and illness as the reasons for pulling out.

They were then due to fight in a rearranged bout over the summer, but this was canceled after Tommy was denied access to the US due to Visa issues.

It is believed that the pair will now try to scrap it out next year, but in the meantime, they will let their mouths do the talking rather than their fists.
