There was clearly a devoted fan of The Good Place working the E! Red Carpet Show during the 76th annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday. However, the employee—a chyron writer—is likely on his or her way to the bad place after identifying Jameela Jamil as a character from her NBC series.

Golden Globe viewers witnessed some of the show's best jokes ahead of the main event. Jamil, 32, was mislabeled on the E! Red Carpet Show as "Kamilah al-Jamil," which is the name of her fictional character Tahani Al-Jamil's obnoxious and attention-seeking younger sister onThe Good Place. The part of Kamilah is played by actress Rebecca Hazlewood.

No one would blame Jamil if she didn't find the joke all too amusing. However, she appeared to be impressed by the snafu.

"E live red carpet. This is legit the funniest thing I have ever seen. What a joyous mistake," she tweeted on Sunday. "Tahani would DIE! LOO LOL LOL. #witherTahani?"

Jamil tweeted once more, adding, "Hands down the greatest of red carpet jokes from whoever did this. It's made my night."

Jamil wore a Monique Lhuillier gown with jeans hidden beneath it as she was accompanied by her boyfriend, musician James Blake. She attended the ceremony to represent The Good Place alongside fellow castmates Kristen Bell, William Jackson Harper, Manny Jacinto and D'Arcy Carden. The critically praised series received its first-ever Golden Globes nomination within the Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy category. Bell was recognized within the Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy category. This was Bell's first-ever Golden Globes nomination.

The Good Place, unfortunately, walked away empty-handed. It lost the Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy series award to Netflix's The Kominsky Method. Bell also lost in her category to Rachel Brosnahan for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

While the joke surrounding Jamil was among the night's greatest moments, another great joke that landed came from co-host Sandra Oh during her Golden Globes monologue. The Killing Eve actress noted the diversity within the night's nominees, saying, "Crazy Rich Asians is nominated tonight. It is the first studio film with an Asian lead since Ghost in the Shell and Aloha." Emma Stone, who controversially played a Hawaiian and Asian woman in Aloha, mouthed "I'm sorry" during the broadcast.

The Good Place returns on Thursday to airs its remaining Season 3 episodes at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
