What 'Jersey Shore' Star Vinny Guadagnino Really Thinks of 'Hamster' Angelina Pivarnick

Is it just a Staten Island thing? Fans who've tuned into the Jersey Shore Family Vacation in Season 2 are probably confused by the drama brewing between Vinny Guadagnino and Angelina Pivarnick. Whether it's sexual tension or pure hatred, the pair's beef is undeniable.

Guadagnino exchanged shots with Pivarnick in the duo's most explosive argument yet in an episode that aired November 8. Now, in stepping away from the cameras, Guadagnino spoke with Newsweek about his feud with Pivarnick. Like viewers, he's just as confused by his continuous fighting with Pivarnick as well.

"I don't see her off camera. That's the only time I'm seeing her," Guadagnino, 31, told Newsweek. "I've kind of been trying to tell people for a long time that, I don't know if it's a way for her to kind of be on camera or whatever, but she tries to come at me a lot."

Guadagnino continued, "Most of the time, I'm a nice guy. I joke around back to her, you know what I mean? I'm not going to sit here and say I never do anything. I joke back. I kind of play it up a little bit to the cameras. I play ball. I've been doing this a long time."

Guadagnino suggests the problem, however, lies in how Pivarnick handles moments where they're joking around.

"It gets to a point sometimes where she takes things too far," he explained. "I remember one time I put a tray of old meat that was in one of our rooms, I put it outside her door in the hallway of her hotel room. I was just joking around like, 'Here, I brought you a gift.' She takes the tray and then comes into my room and starts pouring it on my bed. She takes things too far. When she does that sometimes, that's when I'm like, 'Alright, I'm not even going to deal with you.' I think last night people really saw that because I tried to just not deal with her. I tried to ignore her but we're filming. I'm stuck in the hamster cage with the hamster and there's no way out."

In Season 2, fans first witnessed the continuous feud between Pivarnick and fellow castmate Jenni "JWoww" Farley. The pair has since squashed their beef. Pivarnick, in turn, has rested her focus on settling her score with Guadagnino instead.

Despite his tension with Pivarnick, Guadagnino has enjoyed being back with his other roommates. In fact, he shared why he's enjoyed living with his fellow roommates more on Jersey Shore Family Vacation compared to the original Jersey Shore series.

"I was kind of awkward in my twenties. I mean, we all were trying to figure out who we were," he said. "Now, we're all very secure with ourselves. We don't take ourselves so seriously. Everyone has families and real-life responsibility. When you have real-life responsibility, you have mortgages to pay and kids. You know what real problems are. Then when you go on these vacations, it's fun. It's stupid. You just have fun and escape it all."

Jersey Shore Family Vacation airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on MTV.
