Joe Rogan has confirmed that he will not be having Donald Trump as a guest on his podcast.
The host of The Joe Rogan Experience set the record straight after rumors that the former president was due to appear on the Spotify show began circulating on social media last week.
The rumors appear to have emerged after Trump appeared on another podcast in recent weeks, the NELK Boy's FULL SEND show.
However, Rogan, who is reportedly the biggest podcaster in the world with an estimated 11 million listeners per episode, is adamant that he will not be inviting Trump to join him any time soon.
"There's been a whole thing where a hundred people, at least, have texted me and sent me emails and contacted me because they heard Trump was coming on my podcast," Rogan said on March 19 during episode 1793 of the Joe Rogan Experience with Mike Baker.
Rogan then pinpointed the source of the rumor and blamed a fake Trump Twitter account.
"And the source of it is a fake Trump account on Twitter that said 'I'm going on the Joe Rogan podcast soon,'" he said.
Rogan elaborated: "I think it came out on the fact that Trump was on the NELK Boys podcast, then YouTube removed that podcast. They pulled the podcast which is one of the craziest things you could do."
The podcast host previously told fans he rejected Trump's requests to appear on his show twice in the past.
In an episode of the Breaking Points podcast in 2021, Rogan said he was invited to the White House to interview Trump while he was still in office, but declined due to the proposed format veering too much from his usual style.
"It was not what I'm interested in, it's not what I do. The idea of going to the White House and doing a 20-minute podcast, it's not a podcast," he said last year.
Trump addressed Rogan in the news recently in the midst of the podcaster's N-word scandal when the former president told him to "stop apologizing" so he doesn't appear "weak and frightened."
In a statement, Trump said Rogan has "got to stop apologizing to the Fake News and Radical Left maniacs and lunatics," amid the backlash to his show.
"How many ways can you say you're sorry? Joe, just go about what you do so well and don't let them make you look weak and frightened. That's not you and it never will be!"
