Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino believes his side is rounding into form at the right time as it prepares to face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Spurs followed up a 5-0 win over Swansea City last Saturday at White Hart Lane with a fluent 3-1 victory over CSKA Moscow in the UEFA Champions League at Wembley on Wednesday evening.

The club was already out of Europe's premier club competition and will drop into the UEFA Europa League in the new year. But Pochettino believes the struggles of recent months are behind Spurs.

"We are starting to show our real quality," Pochettino said. "We struggled in the last month and a half because we have some problems, but we have all the squad nearly fit and we are stronger.

"You can feel the team is recovering that feeling that we can win every game. We have recovered that feeling maybe that we lost when it's true, it was a bit of a struggle to compete.

"We need all the players fit to be strong and to compete in tough competitions like the Premier League and Champions League and it was unlucky that our struggle arrived in a busy period with important games."

United, itself grasping for consistency in Jose Mourinho's first season in charge, must travel to Ukraine on Thursday evening to face Zorya Luhansk in its final Europa League group game that it must win to assure qualification for the knockout rounds.
