Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will spend £52 million this summer on two Serie A stars, according to reports from Italy.

Klopp must add to his squad depth after watching his Liverpool side slip from the English Premier League title race since Christmas.

He will do that, according to Tuttomercatoweb, the Italian football website, by buying AS Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes and Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.

Those two deals will cost Liverpool upwards of £50 million, with the club likely to offload players to balance its books as it did last summer.

Perisic, who can play across a forward line, impressed for Croatia at UEFA Euro 2016 in France, while Paredes could provide the deep-lying creative option from midfield that Liverpool has lacked since Xabi Alonso was sold to Real Madrid in the summer of 2009.
