Kate Middleton's Mother-Daughter Moment With Princess Charlotte Goes Viral

The Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte have become the subjects of a new viral video, as footage of a touching moment between the royal mother-daughter pair captured during a sports event has resurfaced on social media site TikTok.

Charlotte is the second child and only daughter of Kate and Prince William, born in 2015 between older brother, Prince George (born 2013) and younger brother, Prince Louis (2018).

In 2023, Charlotte made an increased number of high profile public appearances alongside her parents, most notably for the coronation celebrations of her grandfather, King Charles III, but also military shows and sports events.

One of these was to make her debut appearance at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships in London, an event which is a staple in Kate's annual diary as the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club.

Kate has attended the championships regularly since her marriage to Prince William in 2011, in her capacity as patron sitting in the royal box. The princess also revealed that prior to her association with the royal family, she would attend matches with her father and sister, Michael and Pippa Middleton.

For Charlotte's July 16, 2023 Wimbledon appearance, she attended alongside Kate, William and Prince George to watch one of the championship's centerpiece matches, the men's singles final between seven-time champion Novak Djokovic from Serbia, and Spain's Carlos Alcaraz.

Uploaded to TikTok by user princess__jo, on January 27, footage of the royals arriving at the prestigious sporting venue has gone viral, with a moment where Kate is seen leading her daughter by the hand to the royal box being highlighted.

The clip shows Charlotte wearing a blue floral print day dress contrasting Kate in vivid green accessorized with her Wimbledon patron's purple and green ribbon pinned to her chest.

In the video, Kate confidently leads Charlotte, as the princess pauses for a moment to adjust her daughter's hair. This has been viewed over 400,000 times in 48 hours, receiving in excess of 11,000 likes and numerous comments, many of which have praised the royals.

"Beautiful family," wrote one user, with another adding: "They're so cute. Love Kate's confidence."

The royal family group took their seats in the royal box for the high-stakes match which saw Alcaraz take the championship over Djokovic.

Kate presented both the winner and runner up with their trophies before she introduced her children to the tennis stars at a reception afterwards.

The Wales family were not the only royals in attendance at the final match. Spain's King Felipe VI was also present to watch his countryman lift the winners trophy.
