The Princess of Wales' sporting prowess has become the subject of a new viral video showcasing her love of rugby, field hockey and tennis on social media site, TikTok.
Kate is known to be a fan of sports as a tool for both fitness and mental health improvement, counting a number of sports charities and organizations among her many official royal patronages.
Since marrying into the royal family in 2011, Kate has demonstrated her sporting skills at public engagements, occasionally delighting fans by going head-to-head with husband, Prince William.
Uploaded to video sharing platform, TikTok, by user katemiddleton.fp, footage of Kate playing rugby, field hockey and tennis has been viewed over 140,000 times and received in excess of 12,000 likes and numerous comments, many of which have praised the princess.
"Our sporty PRINCESS," wrote one user.
"She's everything, she's a future Queen," wrote another, with a further comment reading: "She's the Sporty Spice Princess."
In 2013, one of the first patronages that Kate took on was for the charity SportsAid, an organization that supports youth development across disciplines and for which the princess has attended regular engagements over the following years.
In her royal career, Kate has become particularly aligned with tennis. In 2016, the year of her 90th birthday, Queen Elizabeth II made Kate the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC)—the organization that hosts the Wimbledon tennis championships each year.
Kate has attended the championships across several days in successive years, most recently attending the 2023 men's singles final with Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Footage used in the viral video showing Kate's tennis skills includes a clip taken from a short film released in June 2023 ahead of the Wimbledon event, where the royal met the ball boys and girls in training, alongside eight-time champion, Roger Federer.
During the film, Kate and Federer practiced on the famous Wimbledon courts and met with members of the AELTC ahead of the tournament.
Kate has also had increased involvement with rugby in recent years.
In 2022, the princess took over the patronages of the Rugby Football Union and Rugby Football League in England, which were returned to the crown by Prince Harry in 2021 after his split from the monarchy.
Since then, Kate has attended a number of events with the organizations, which have included being present at two of England's 2023 Rugby World Cup games in France.
Footage used in the TikTok clip shows Kate during a recent visit to Hull in England where she participated in events marking Rugby League Inclusivity Day.
The princess' involvement with hockey dates back to her school days when she was captain of the women's field hockey team at at Marlborough College.
Over the years, Kate has displayed her skills on the field during engagements, including during a 2012 visit to St Andrew's School in England where she was praised for playing the sport in heels.
