The Princess of Wales's stylish red carpet appearances have gone viral with royal fans swooning over her fashion featured in a TikTok video.
Kate has become the focus of increased public attention since the beginning of the year, first after undergoing abdominal surgery in January and then following the announcement that she is undergoing preventative treatment after a cancer diagnosis in March.
Kate has been out of the public eye since her surgery, and during this period, fans of the royal have taken to social media to share footage and images from past events in tribute.
Several have focused on Kate's celebrated style. Since her marriage to Prince William in 2011, Kate has won praise for her wardrobe choices and is estimated to be worth over $1 billion to the British fashion economy.
A compilation of archive clips showing Kate's stylish red carpet outfits has been viewed over one million times on TikTok so far after being uploaded by user @itsmeren026 on March 25.
The royal has attended numerous red carpet events throughout her time as a working member of the royal family, from charity galas to movie premieres and awards shows.
Opening the TikTok video is footage from what is perhaps one of Kate's most widely celebrated fashion moments to date, her appearance for the London premiere of the James Bond movie No Time To Die in 2021.
For the event, the princes wore a glittering gold evening gown by British designer Jenny Packham that featured a dramatic floor-length cape. Kate, who attended the event alongside William, King Charles and Queen Camilla, styled the dress with a bold up-do hairstyle.
Also included in the video are clips of Kate attending the annual BAFTA Film Awards in London. Held at the beginning of each year, the event has become highly anticipated among royal watchers who are eager for opportunities to see Kate at her most glamorous.
Over several years, the princess has opted to wear gowns for the ceremony designed by her most trusted fashion ally, Sarah Burton. Burton was, until 2023, the creative director for Alexander McQueen's fashion house.
In 2017, Kate wore a dramatic off-the-shoulder evening gown from the designer, featuring a white and green floral print against a black silk background. In 2020, the royal wore another McQueen: a white layered chiffon dress with gold floral embellishments, originally created for a formal visit to Malaysia.
Captioned "The Princess of Wales [crown emoji]," the TikTok video has received in excess of 76,000 likes and over 1,000 comments, many of which have praised Kate's style and wished her well in her cancer recovery.
"Wow beautiful flawless Kate in every picture that smile lights the world praying she recovers. she will be back," wrote one TikTok user in the comments.
"Kate always looks stunning. So beautiful," posted another, with a further comment reading: "Princess Kate is actually perfection."
Kate is not expected to return to making public appearances until she has completed her course of preventative chemotherapy and made progress in her recovery.
In her health announcement which was made on March 22, she said: "We hope that you will understand that, as a family, we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment. My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy and I look forward to being back when I am able, but for now I must focus on making a full recovery.
