Missing Phoenix Teen: Everything We Know About the Disappearance of Kiera Lanae Bergman

A California teen living in Phoenix has been missing for nearly two weeks, prompting her family to travel to Arizona to help in the search. Kiera Lanae Bergman,19, was last seen at her apartment in Glendale, Arizona, on August 4, and has not been heard from since.

Phoenix Police said that Bergman was last seen at her home but have not offered any other details about her disappearance. In an email to Newsweek, Phoenix Police spokesman Sergeant Vincent Lewis said, "There are no new updates at this time."

"I mean we went to work together, everything was fine and she left and then I got a text from her and that was the last thing I heard from her," Destiny Hall-Chand, Bergman's 20-year-old roommate, told KPHO/KTVK.

Hall-Chand said Bergman told her she was going out with a man she met at a store, "which is something that's not like her, that's not something she would do." After Bergman failed to come home or show up for work, Hall-Chand filed a missing persons report, KPHO/KTVK reported.

Bergman's father, Chris Bragg, said that her wallet, purse and car were found at her apartment.

"We have no information, which just kills us," Bragg told ABC News on Tuesday. "If we knew something, our minds wouldn't be racing and thinking of all the different possibilities."

Kiersten Bragg, the young woman's mother, told The Arizona Republic that her daughter moved out of their San Diego–area home in March and moved in with her then-boyfriend in Phoenix. She said that soon after the move, Bergman's phone line was disconnected, and her family was only able to reach her through FaceTime or Facebook.

The mother told ABC News that the couple fought "a lot" and said her daughter "didn't seem as happy as she was before." After the couple broke up, Bergman moved into an apartment with Hall-Chand.

At a prayer vigil on Saturday, Hall-Chand told KPHO/KTVK that she did not know what to think or believe about her friend's disappearance. "I don't know. I don't know what to think, I don't know what to believe, I don't know," she said. "It's just, I know there's something wrong. I'm just hoping she'll come home and everything will be OK."

Bergman's mother said she had a message for her daughter. "Wherever you are, if you can hear this, if you can see it or hear it, just know we are doing everything we can and fighting so hard to find you," Kiersten Bragg told The Arizona Republic.

Bergman is described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing 145 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes, according to authorities.
