Kim Kardashian Makeup Launch Disappoints Fans

Kim Kardashian has established herself as an entrepreneur and business mogul with the success of her brand SKIMMS. She now wants to make a big mark on the makeup world, but will have to do it without the full support of all of her followers.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the star shared the news of Skkn by Kim Makeup, a new line described on its website as: "Where skin-loving formulas meet high-performance glam."

The beauty news will see several products launched by the mogul, the first since the closure of her cosmetic line KKW Beauty in 2021 and the end of her fragrance line KKW Fragrance in 2022.

Although some fans have welcomed her latest line of makeup, many have called for her focus to shift back to her fragrance line as they are running out of their favorite smells.

The Instagram post at the time this article was published had received over 3,800 comments, not all positive, as well as over 542,000 likes.

Launching later this month, Kardashian shared in her post that the line will include a Soft Matte Lip Color and a Lip Liner range, both in multiple shades, and a Classic Mattes Eyeshadow Palette, but the lack of perfume to go alongside it has seen the post littered with remarks by unhappy fans.

Starting with positive before sharing their fragrance void woes, a fan said: "Gorgeous! So excited for these lipsticks! I hope a fragrance launch is next!"

Others cut straight to the point: "But where are the crystal gardenia fragrances." Crystal Gardenia was a 2017 launched KKW Fragrance product.

"The makeup is cute, Kimmy, but we need the fragrances soon!! I only have one Caramel Orchid backup left," another blasted.

Her new products irritated a fan: "Ughhh i'm always going to keep asking for the fragrances, I sound like a broken record."

The demands kept rolling in: "Please bring back the fragrance!!" and "FRAGRANCES PLEASE," followed by a crying emoji adding the emotion the poster felt.

Echoed by: "Please don't forget - we need you to bring back Fragrances too!" from a fragranceless follower.

On the flip side, the nude tones from the new makeup line won over others.

"YYAASSSSS!!!! A dream come true!!" was shared by an excited fan with an eager consumer adding: "Setting my alarms!!! Omg I must have."

Kardashian is a trendsetter and moves at her own pace, so fans will have to wait and see if the relaunch of her makeup will lead to new or existing fragrances hitting the shelves in the future.
