Kylie, Khloé Latest 'Kardashians' Stars to Face Balenciaga Backlash

Kylie Jenner and Khloé Kardashian are the latest in their famed family to feel the heat from the ongoing Balenciaga scandal.

The reality stars have received backlash on social media for sharing branded content and posts related to their kids. Meanwhile, both have kept quiet on the controversy surrounding the luxury fashion house.

Balenciaga's holiday campaign featured children holding BDSM-inspired teddy bear handbags. In another photoshoot that the brand did, a page from a 2008 Supreme Court ruling regarding the criminalization of virtual child pornography could be seen on a desk.

Kim Kardashian, meanwhile, has served as an ambassador for Balenciaga. She's received flak for what critics see as a lackluster statement about the scandal, with conservative commentator Meghan McCain dubbing her a "coward."

Some social media users accused Jenner this week of posting pictures of her children to help stymie the criticism her family has received.

But Jenner, who has remained silent about the scandal, decided to push back on a TikTok user who made a critical comment.

The user wrote that Jenner's mom, Kris, had instructed "her kids to release the good photos after the Balenciaga Scandal." Jenner was apparently upset by the user's remark.

"[U]h whyyyyyy would i post my child to cover up for balenciaga ?" the star replied. "This is why i don't do this. always something to say."

Earlier this week, Jenner also shared family photos on Instagram, much to some social media users' disdain. One such post included snaps of her children and beau Travis Scott.

"Hey Kylie where is YOUR statement on Balenciaga. Do you support Pedophilia??? Or do you just want their clothing even though they are evil AF," one social media user commented.

Other onlookers have also lambasted Khloé Kardashian for posting branded content amid the scandal. Earlier this week, she shared a video hawking a playtech startup called Boxbollen, along with the hashtag "#AD."

Then on Tuesday, the reality star shared a photo of herself decked out in denim for Good American, a fashion brand she co-founded.

"Dam they sure are posting so many distractions ! Balenciaga Needs to go broke !!!!" one person wrote on Kardashian's latest post.

Another commented: "They want to divert attention from Balenciaga."

"Didn't your family get canceled.....girl bye," another said.

Newsweek reached out to representatives for Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian and Jenner for comment.
