Labrador's Reaction to Eating Owner's Burger Caught on Camera: 'Guilty'

A dog named Lambeau has left the internet in stitches after a video of him stealing his owner's takeout, and then refusing to take responsibility for it, went viral on social media.

The video, shared on TikTok Monday by Barkedclubb, shows the Labrador retriever pretending not to hear his owner, who is telling him off for having her hamburger. He can be seen looking at her before moving his head away in defiance.

The viral post came with a caption that said: "POV: you left Lambeau in the running car for a few minutes and he took advantage." A follow-up caption read: "innocent until proven guilty..."

The American Kennel Club (AKC) has recommended not feeding dogs human foods or table scraps to avoid developing bad eating habits, to prevent gastroenteritis due to a change in a dog's regular diet, and prevent obesity.

Hamburgers are usually not particularly safe for dogs. That's because chances are, your burger might have added salt, spices, and toppings that can be dangerous to dogs, such as onion or garlic. Seasoned meat is a recipe for an unpleasant digestive upset at best, and pancreatitis at worst.

If you really want your dog to have a bite with you, you can feed them unseasoned and cooked hamburger meat, which can be a healthy source of protein in addition to your dog's regular, balanced diet. Just make sure to cut the meat up into bite-sized pieces to prevent any choking hazards.

The viral clip quickly attracted animal lovers from all over the platform, receiving over 999,100 views and 73,100 likes so far.

One user, RachaelVm commented: "I did and I'd do it again." Nisbetd added: "I regret nothing," while Notis Koundouris said: "Guilty!!!!!!!"

Eldria quipped: "Im not saying nothing without my lawyer." Mob Rorgan wrote: "No guilt in that face, he also left no evidence... allegedly."

Another user, Charnevego commented: "You have the right to remain silent." And diaryof33 said: "The nose in the air!!" Bobby's&Cooper'sWorld wrote: "Look at his face. I'm sure the burger was delicious."

Rachel North1977 joked: "I can neither confirm or deny. It was there one minute and then POOF it was gone." And Hadi Bahrami said: "that reminds me of Joey's face from friends.'I'm not even sorry"
