LeBron James vs Giannis Antetokounmpo: No Contest as the King Dominates Greek Freak

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 37 points and added 11 rebounds and five assists against the Cleveland Cavaliers but was left questioning himself after the game.

The reason behind the soul searching is that while the Greek Freak did not put a foot wrong, the Milwaukee Bucks lost 124-117 in Cleveland, as LeBron James clinched his 16^th triple-double of the season, with 40 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.

At 33 years and 79 days of age, James became the third-oldest player in NBA history to score a triple-double with at least 40 points, behind only Larry Bird (35 years, 99 days) and Elgin Baylor (34 years, 48 days).

James' brilliance left Antetokounmpo shaking his head. "I was talking to myself when I was taking a shower. And I was like, 'OK, what did I do wrong today guarding LeBron?'" Antetokounmpo said after the game, as reported by ESPN.

"Because he's the first player ever to score 40 on me that easy. It's hard; [LeBron's] a guy that can drive the ball, shoot the ball, especially late in his career now he's been shooting the ball amazing. He's getting his teammates in the right spot. He's the best player in the world. That simple."

The three-time NBA champion scored 17 of his team's 29 points in the third quarter, continuing a fantastic run of form that has seen him average 32.0 points shooting 56.9% from the field, 13.3 rebounds and 9.7 assists over the last week.

"I'm not going to make shots every night, but what I do know is I'm going to do other things if I don't make shots to get my guys involved and rebound and defend," James was quoted as saying by ESPN.

"I can take a charge here and there if it presents itself, I can block shots and get steals. I can always figure out a way to be a threat on the floor even if I'm not scoring. For me that doesn't change."

The performances earned James the Eastern Conference Player of the Week award for the third time this season and for a record 60^th time in his career, while the Cavs moved up to third in the Eastern Conference with a 41-29 record, 0.5 games ahead of the Indiana Pacers.

However, the four-time NBA MVP was less than impressed with the lack of calls going his way.

"I got hit in the head three times today, got elbowed in the nose," he said, as reported by the Associated Press. "It is what it is at this point. I went to keep pushing and try not to get caught up in the battle with the calls that should be called."

The Cavs are on a two-game winning streak and could welcome back coach Tyronn Lue as early as next week, after the 40-year-old took a leave of absence earlier this week.

On Monday, Lue revealed he would step back from his role to address health issues that have left him sleep deprived and battling chest pains.

However, according to David Aldridge of NBA.com his absence could be a lot shorter than expected.

Citing an unnamed source, Aldridge said Lue will be away for a week and the Cavs plan to have him back on the bench next week.
