Liga MX Final Odds: Who is the Bookies' Favorite to Win the Mexican Title?

Santos Laguna go into the Liga MX finals as favorite to beat Toluca and lift the coveted trophy on Sunday night.

The first leg is being played on Thursday night at the Estadio Corona, the home of Santos Laguna that holds up to 29,000 people. The game kicks off at 5.30 p.m. local time and 6.30 p.m. Eastern Time.

Santos reached the finals by easing past Club America with a resounding 6-3 aggregate win in the semifinals.

Toluca, who won the Liga by seven points, similarly eased into the finals after beating Club Tijuana 5-3 on aggregate in the last round.

But despite their record in the league, Toluca go into the first leg as the underdog according to the betting markets.

Hernán Cristante's team is at 21/10 odds to with the Liga MX while Santos are at just 6/5, and the draw is 9/4.

The second leg, and decider, will be played on Sunday at the home of Toluca, the Estadio Nemesio Diez, which holds up to 30,000 people. That match also kicks off at 5.30 p.m. local time and 6.30 p.m. Eastern Time.

The last meeting between the two teams was in February, where Toluca eased to a 2-0 win over Santos at the Estadio Nemesio Diez.

Santos has only won this game once in their last four meetings, with a game that came in May 2017 in Toluca's stadium. They won 3-1 and will be hoping they can do the same this week and lift the Liga MX title.
