Lil Pump Wipes Instagram Following Trump Controversy

Lil Pump appears to have deleted all of his Instagram posts, not long after going viral once again over his support for Donald Trump.

The rapper took over social media in January after sharing a photo of his latest tattoo—a portrait of the former president's face.

"MAGA usus," the 23-year-old wrote alongside the picture, which showed Trump's mugshot inked on his thigh.

The artwork was dubbed "cringe" and "weird," but Lil Pump—whose real name is Gazzy Fabio Garcia—seemed thrilled with the design.

Donald Trump Jr. gave his seal of approval, commenting "Hell yea."

Newsweek has reached out to Lil Pump for comment via Instagram.

The "Gucci Gang" hitmaker has since deleted all of his posts on Instagram. However, he is still posting to his account on X, formerly Twitter, sharing a snap from a trip to an art gallery on Sunday.

His last Instagram post in December also featured Trump. Taken during a UFC bout at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the photo shows Lil Pump smiling as he poses with the business mogul during the Welterweight Championship fight between Sean Strickland and Dricus du Plessis.

Lil Pump has publicly endorsed the Republican politician since autumn 2020, when he appeared at a Trump rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Unfortunately, while introducing the hip-hop star, Trump referred him to as "Lil Pimp," rather than Lil Pump. Still, the slip-up didn't seem to dent the rapper's love for the former president, who sang the 77-year-old's praises while condemning his Democratic rival, President Joe Biden.

"I've come here to say Mr. President I appreciate everything you have done for our country," he said.

"You brought the troops home and are doing the right thing. MAGA 202020 don't forget that!"

He also urged the crowd not to "vote for Sleepy Joe—at all."

Lil Pump has backed Trump on social media as well, sharing a photo of himself shaking hands with The Apprentice star onstage.

"THE DAY I MET TRUMP #trump202022020," he captioned the post on Instagram. He later uploaded an obscenity-filled video slamming Biden's plan to raise taxes for people earning more than $400,000 a year.

"All I gotta say is Trump 2020 b****," he said in the clip. "F*** I look like paying 33 in tax for Biden, b**** a** n****." F*** Sleepy Joe n****. Trump 2020 b****."

Lil Pump's support for Trump shocked many of his followers, but he's not the only rapper to endorse the real estate magnate.

Megastar 50 Cent also hit out at Biden's tax proposal on social media, pledging his allegiance to Trump, while Kanye West—now known as Ye—previously visited the former president at Trump Tower in New York City.

However, the 46-year-old has since turned his back on Trump, describing his administration as "one big mess" in July 2020.
