Luke Cage Flaunts His Stuff in New Season 2 Clip

Luke Cage Season 2 arrives on Netflix June 22. We've got one full trailer behind us and now Mavel is blessing us with a second batch of footage. New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles and former SportsCenter anchors Jemele Hill and Michael Smith join Luke Cage as he shows off his powers to all of Harlem.

Luke jumps farther, runs faster and lifts more than some of the world's most skilled athletes, such as Usain Bolt. It's a sight to behold, and it's nice to see Luke relaxed and having some fun ... but this display of power could mean trouble. Luke's cocky show makes for some nice Sunday entertainment, but his adversaries are probably taking notes.

A villain named Bushmaster is expected to appear in Season 2, and he's got a powerset similar to Luke. He's somewhat invulnerable, and if Luke gets too far into his ego, he'll be caught off guard. Harlem may be saved for now, but Shades, Mariah and new threats are still to come.

There's no sign of Misty Knight, Colleen Wing or Claire Temple in this new footage, but expect to see all of them at some point in the series. Iron Fist is set to pop up as well, and we may even get a little Heroes for Hire and Daughters of the Dragon tease along the way. Are you excited for Luke Cage Season 2? Let us know in the comments.
