The NYPD is looking for a man in a "Make America Great Again" hat who attacked a fellow subway rider on Friday, April 20, 2018. Handout

A man wearing a cap with President Donald Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan hurled racial slurs at an Hispanic man before pushing him onto the tracks at a Manhattan subway station, NYPD said Saturday.

The attacker, wearing a red and red t-shirt with the slogan, began verbally abusing the man while on a northbound 4 train, said police.

He then allegedly followed the victim out of the train at Union Square, punched him repeatedly in the head, and pushed him onto the tracks before running away.

NYPD police released a picture of the suspect, who they described as a "Black male wearing a red hat and red shirt both with the words "Make America Great Again" , blue overalls, a black ¾ jacket, and jewelry around his neck."

A friend of the victim helped him off the tracks, and he was taken to hospital where he was treated for cuts to the head.

The attacker allegedly hurled a series of racially derogatory insults at the man while attacking him.

The incident comes eight days after after a Danish tourist wearing a MAGA cap was held up at knife-point and robbed of his hat at the same station.
