Man Accused by Girlfriend of Treating Cat Better Than Her in Hilarious Clip

The video of a cat dad spoiling his furbaby has melted hearts online after his girlfriend shared it on social media, leaving the internet in tears.

The viral clip shared on TikTok by the cat's owner, under the username Lordfoldemort, shows her boyfriend, Bobby, rubbing her cat's feet, as she enjoys the massage laying tummy up on his lap. It comes with a caption that reads: "When your [boyfriend] treats your cat better than he treats you."

As explained in previous posts, the couple was only meant to foster the cat for a short time, but that plan fell through when the cat and her dad fell for each other and decided to keep her.

According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), approximately 3.2 million companion cats enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year.

Their data also shows that each year, about 100,000 cats who enter shelters as strays are returned to their owners, and of the remaining cats, approximately 2.1 million are adopted. Around 530,000 shelter cats are euthanized every year.

According to the 2021–2022 National Pet Owners Survey conducted by the American Pet Products Association (APPA), 70 percent of U.S. households, or about 90.5 million families, currently own at least one pet; about 45.3 million of them own at least one cat.

Pet owners love spoiling their furbabies too. The total U.S. pet industry expenditures for the year 2021 amounted to a total of $123.6 billion. Basic annual expenses for dogs and cats, including food, vet visits, treats, toys and grooming was around $902 according to the APPA survey.

So far, the clip, which was first shared on the platform on Thursday, has garnered over 62,000 likes and over 340 comments.

One user, Terri Krische commented: "Wait! Did you keep her?" And Michibonyu said: "green flag." LadyDeathMoth wrote: "Omg my husband BRO. He always cuddles her and kisses her little head and I ask "where's mine" and he laughs and says I'm not fluffy and I don't meow."

Another user, Adila_Auzzzie pointed out: "He's not your BF he's hers."And Eth0m1 added: "Sorry, but he's not your bf anymore, the cat stole his heart."

Kiss b0ne said: "This is exactly why I'm scared to foster because I WILL keep them all."

Another user, bridedoll2 said: "All cats must come first." And Sedicka Hendricks added: "A man that knows how to treat cats, is a keeper."
